(Guayaquil, Ecuador, October 5, 2018). Today, during the XXII Annual Meeting in Guayaquil, Ecuador, FONTAGRO elected Chile and Panama to serve as Chair and Vice Chair, respectively, of its Board of Directors for 2018-2019.

Dr. Pedro Bustos Valdivia, currently National Director of Chile’s National Institute for Agricultural Research (INIA), will chair the Board, while Dr. Axel Villalobos, Director General of the Institute for Agricultural Research of Panama (IDIAP), will serve as Vice Chair.

Lastly, the Chairman-elect of FONTAGRO stated “FONTAGRO is a wonderful organization whose prestige has grown notably thanks to the projects’ successful outcomes. Looking forward, we are going to work harder to evaluate the impact of the projects that conclude each year and better disseminate those impacts to our audiences.”

During the 2017 annual meeting, FONTAGRO elected Dr. Eugenia Saini to serve as the new Executive Secretary of FONTAGRO. See more here.
